REPORTING COLLECTOR HARASSMENT

Some debt collectors will exploit your vulnerability because they think you’re not aware of your rights. They'll try anything, from frequent phone calls and misleading statements to implying consequences and even trying to contact you on social media in hopes you will succumb out of fear.

We don't want you to ever feel intimidated by debt collectors. Instead, we urge you to respond to them with confidence because tactics like these could be violations of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act that could wipe away your debt and possibly earn you damages in court.

If a collector calls, answer it. If they email, text, or leave a voicemail, we need to know, so report it immediately.
